Privacy policy

Last updated 8 October 2026

Short version: The app collects nothing about you or your calls. The app runs on your Mac, and the only things that leave it go to the AI service you connect yourself.

Who we are

Murmury is a free Mac app made by an independent developer based in Italy. For anything about privacy, write to murmuryelf@gmail.com.

The app

This website

The waitlist

If you join the waitlist we store your email address, the date, the channel that brought you to the site (for example a link from Reddit or LinkedIn) and your country, in a Cloudflare D1 database. We use them only to email you when Murmury opens and about big updates, on the basis of your consent. We never sell or share them. To leave the list or have your data deleted, write to murmuryelf@gmail.com or use the unsubscribe link in any email.

The other people on your call

Murmury turns their voice into text on your Mac and sends the text of their questions to your AI service. Where the law requires it, telling them or getting their consent is up to you. See the Terms.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete personal data and object to its use. The app sends us nothing, so we usually hold nothing about you beyond your waitlist entry or emails you sent us, which we delete on request. You can also complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

Changes

If this policy changes, this page changes too, with a new date at the top.
